A break in content and a message for all who are struggling with the limitations of brain injury.
I currently attend Momentum Skills aiming for return to work following on from my operation. The session yersterday about brain injury awareness provided something I wanted to share.
There comes limitations to our abilies following accident, surgery or both and our life pivots on this turning point of how we cope with the limitations. In an exercise we were disussing the bad and good advice you could give to someone suffering from the effects of a brain injury.
Here is my two best things I came up with;
Be positive and strong willed, dont rush your recovery. Determination and persistance take time and you will regain yourself.
Accept who you are and what you can do now, do not compare yourself with anyone else. Live your life normally and don't look to the past.
So that shared I will rest, I tire more easily than I did even just typing
